Cristine Manning

Project Manager / Oklahoma City

Cristine Winchester credits Flintco with giving her the support she needs as an active member of the U.S. Army National Reserve. Christine serves as Alpha Company Commander of Oklahoma’s 45th Infantry Division — the famous “Thunderbirds,” known for their service in World War II.

Cristine joined the military in 2007 as a cadet and was deployed overseas over a 10-year period in Afghanistan and Kuwait, specializing in combat engineering and construction engineering. She drills once a month and a full two weeks each year. In 2017, Christine was activated with less than 24 hours’ notice to help relief efforts during Hurricane Harvey.

“Flintco was so supportive during the Hurricane Harvey deployment,” she said. “Our executive leadership was personally emailing me and thanking me.”

Cristine said her military experience gives her a competitive edge. She’s comfortable in high-pressure environments, and her communication style is concise and direct. Those skills were important when Flintco recruited her.

“As an Officer in the Army, you learn how to show up confident, even when you’re not the most knowledgeable person in the room,” she said. “The Army makes you embrace discomfort.”

Cristine holds a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s degree in geological sciences from the University of North Carolina and  the University of Tennessee respectively. Christine enjoys exercise, sports and has recently started quilting.
