Steve Eikanger

President

Flintco opened our Denver office in 2018 and Steve Eikanger joined the company as Vice President Area Manager of our Southwest Region, which includes Colorado and New Mexico. In July 2020, Steve was promoted to President of Flintco’s Southwest Region. Steve’s broad experience in operations, preconstruction, construction technology and Lean/Integrated approaches led him to the Flintco opportunity. Steve chose Flintco, because “I wanted to join a company that had the same drive as I do to improve our industry,” he said. “Flintco has it.” His Colorado portfolio includes Healthcare, Hospitality, Cultural, Education, Office, Multi-Family and Resort projects.

Steve is active in our industry and in his community. He is on the Advisory Board for the University of Colorado Denver’s Construction Engineering and Management program where he has collaborated with faculty studying the effects of altitude and extreme weather on construction workers. He is also a past Chair of the Board of Trustees and current Board Member for “Envida” a Colorado Springs based non-profit that provides innovative transportation and in-home support services for older adults, those with disabilities and low-income individuals.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University.

Steve has lived in Colorado since 1997, spending his first five years there living at almost 9,000 feet in the Vail Valley – skiing on average 25x per year and hiking over a dozen “14ers” – (mountains over 14,000 feet). And while the skiing has tapered off some, he still enjoys the outdoors together with his wife and two daughters.
