Arkansas
Springdale, AR
It’s easy to get hooked on Northwest Arkansas. With the Ozarks as the backdrop and many lakes to choose from, hiking, biking, fishing, boating and other outdoor activities seem endless. But the area also has become an entertainment and foodie destination — towns like Bentonville, Fayetteville and Springdale, have a good mix of upscale cuisine and classic Southern grub. The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has a world class art collection surrounded by more than 200 miles of walking and biking trails. The Flintco roots here date to 1951 when we completed our first project for University of Arkansas, opening our permanent office in 1992.
Austin
Austin, TX
Flintco arrived in Austin in 2004. Home to more than 250 music venues, Austin’s culture has a groove unlike any other American city. “Keep Austin Weird” is a mindset that locals remain committed to upholding. But the refined food scene (it’s not uncommon to find Michelin-star dishes served from a food truck), and unique outdoor experiences (skip the pool and head to a swimmin’ hole like Barton Springs), are what makes Austin a destination.
Denver
Denver, CO
Known as the “Mile High City,” Denver is a destination for adventure seekers. Nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains, outdoor activities are endless year-round. As a modern city fueled by large industries, including energy, aviation and bioscience, Denver was a natural choice for Flintco to establish a permanent office in 2018.
Houston
Houston, TX
Houston’s diversity distinguishes the Texas city from any other. As the energy industry capital of the world, America’s fourth-largest city has been welcoming people from around the world for decades. Boasting more than 10,000 restaurants, Houston’s food is represented beyond its award-winning Tex-Mex and barbecue to cuisine from more than 70 countries and regions. Houston is home to NASA, national sports teams and is a short distance to the Gulf of Mexico. After the success and continued growth in Flintco’s Austin market, Flintco chose to open a permanent office in Houston in 2016.
Memphis
Memphis, TN
Memphis is the birthplace of rock n’ roll, Elvis’s hometown and home to the Beale Street Music Festival. The Memphis metropolis in the Mississippi Delta maintains a small-town feel, evident in its historic districts, and residents’ commitment to faith-based and nonprofit organizations. Flintco opened its doors here in 1987 and since has worked on dozens of projects for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a corporate sponsor, we’ve raised more than $500,000 to support its mission. Memphis consistently ranks as one of the nation’s most generous cities, and we’re proud to have been a part of it for more than 30 years.
Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, OK
Oklahoma’s capital might be known for its rich cowboy culture and oil boom roots, but this metropolitan city of more than 1.3 million people offers culture, arts, sports and a diverse work force. The lively Bricktown area has re-energized the downtown nightlife, restaurant and arts scene. Flintco’s second location, the Oklahoma City office opened in 1984 delivering skyscrapers, sports stadiums — including the Chesapeake Arena, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder — university buildings, and the MAPS 3 Convention Center in downtown OKC awarded in 2018.
Tulsa
Tulsa, OK
“Livin’ on Tulsa Time,” is a phrase embraced by locals. The Don Williams classic is a testament to the spirit of the former Oil Capital of the World. The city has emerged as a cultural hotspot, with large Native American and modern art collections showcased at the Tulsa Arts District’s First Friday art crawl. Tulsa’s music scene continues to gain national attention as home to the official archives of both folk hero Woody Guthrie and his biggest fan, Bob Dylan. Flintco was founded in Tulsa in 1908 and has been living — and thriving — on Tulsa time ever since with well-known projects, including the Mid-Continent Tower and the BOK Center.
