Socorro County Adult Detention Center

Based on a “super-pod” design to improve security and operating efficiency, this detention center holds up to 108 inmates in eight housing pods, which radiate from a center observation core. The compact design includes an office suite, booking/intake area, kitchen, laundry, vehicle sally port, and a medical suite with an isolation room. To contain costs, the building was constructed using a pre-engineered metal building shell.
