University of Tennessee Health Science Center Classroom and Lab Renovations
The project includes the renovation of buildings in the historic quadrangle at the center of the UTHSC campus. This project was phased with the first phase including the abatement and selective demo of three existing buildings on the UTHSC campus. This phase also included window replacement and the restoration of exterior brick and precast. Once completed, the building was stripped to structural elements so that the second phase could commence with the build back and architectural finishes. The Mooney Library will be converted to administrative offices, reception areas and meeting space. The Nash Research Building and the Nash-Annex, which was added in the 1980s, will be renovated into state-of-the-art research and laboratory space. A third building bordering the quadrangle, the Crowe Building, will become the new home of the College of Nursing. Flintco is providing Construction Management services on this project which includes preconstruction and construction services.
